Jan. 31.— Will <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> late Katharine W T edderburn (wife <strong>of</strong> Thomas Blair,skipper, burgess <strong>of</strong> Dundee), who d. Aug. 1606, given up by him. It is dated atDundee 28 Aug. 1606, and contains a legacy <strong>of</strong> £20 to <strong>the</strong> poor <strong>of</strong> Dundee, (xlii.)[It seems curious that from 1607-1725 <strong>the</strong> register contains no material entry, but it is probablydue to <strong>the</strong> fact that from 1610 on <strong>the</strong> Forfarshire family registered in <strong>the</strong> Brechin Commissariot. Itwill be observed that all <strong>the</strong> later Edinburgh wills, with one exception, are those <strong>of</strong> members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>Gosford branch.]8. 1725. Oct. 27.— Will <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> late Sir John <strong>Wedderburn</strong> (only son <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> late SirAlexander W T edderburn <strong>of</strong> Blackness, and ensign in Colonel John Midleton's regiment<strong>of</strong> Foot) who d. in Ireland 1723, given up by John Melville <strong>of</strong> Cairny, hisexecutor, and creditor for£l,400 stg. under bond dated 6 October 1 725, <strong>of</strong> Mrs. Rachel<strong>Wedderburn</strong>, sister gernian and next <strong>of</strong> kin to Sir John, and " daughter and onlychild on life <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> said Sir Alexander." <strong>The</strong> sum <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> debts due to <strong>the</strong> deceasedis named as £16,800.
