June 27. —Disposition by James Scrymgeour, eldest lawful son <strong>of</strong> JohnScrymgeour, late <strong>of</strong> Kirktoun, to Mr. Alexander Scrymgeour, pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> philosophyin <strong>the</strong> old College <strong>of</strong> St. Andrews, his bro<strong>the</strong>r german, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> whole sums <strong>of</strong> money&c, contained in <strong>the</strong> contract <strong>of</strong> marriage between <strong>the</strong> said John Scrymgeour <strong>the</strong>ir•fa<strong>the</strong>r, and Magdalene W edderburn <strong>the</strong>ir mo<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>of</strong> date . . . day <strong>of</strong> 16.. (ante No.330.) Dated at Edinburgh. Henry Scrymgeour in Edinburgh is a witness, vm, ix, 64.523. 1699. Jan. 31.— Scroll summons at <strong>the</strong> instance <strong>of</strong> Peter <strong>Wedderburn</strong>e, merchantin Dundee, and John Young, skipper <strong>the</strong>re, v. George Small, merchant <strong>the</strong>re. <strong>The</strong><strong>ca</strong>use is not stated in <strong>the</strong> summons, but <strong>the</strong> execution (dated 3 Feb.) which isenclosed with it, mentions <strong>the</strong> arrestment, in virtue <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> summons, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> third part<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> ship "<strong>The</strong> Providence <strong>of</strong> Dundee." I, i-ii, 131.(English, one piece <strong>of</strong> paper in bad state, with two smaller pieces attached to it.)524. 1699. March 10.— Extract decreet by <strong>the</strong> Lords <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Admiralty, at <strong>the</strong> instance<strong>of</strong> John Morice <strong>of</strong> Cleppington v.
