8.2 LOSS STATEMENT CONSULTATIONS(Begin Consultation>8.21003(b)(4)(A)[Abstract] Upon completion of the 1003(b)(3) studies, theappropriate <strong>fish</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>wildlife</strong> agencies, Tribes, BPA, <strong>and</strong>project operators for each project shall review the results<strong>and</strong> discuss the options available to provide <strong>wildlife</strong>protection, mitigation, <strong>and</strong> enhancement in accordance with theNorthwest Power Act.ACTION ITEM ACTIVITY SUMMARY:Objectives:To provide a review of Action Item 8.1, loss assessments, <strong>and</strong> toassist in the development of Action Item 8.3, <strong>wildlife</strong> protection,mitigation, <strong>and</strong> enhancement plans. No projects/contracts will befunded by BPA in implementing this Action Item.Background <strong>and</strong> Progress to Date:Plans:Projects:Consultations have been held on 19 of the 29 FCRPS facilities.Consultations are not anticipated for six facilities. Table 8outlines the status of these consultations.Consultations will be held on four FCRPS facilities in FY 1991.These facilities include Bonneville, The Dalles, John Day, <strong>and</strong> McNaryDams. Consultations will be conducted as part of the mitigationplanning effort for these facilities being funded under ActionItem 8.3 (Project No. 90-25).None.2 1 5
