8.12 FUND IMPLEMENTAION OF MITIGATION PRIORITIES(Fund Mitigation Priorities approved by the Council)8.121003(b)(7)[Abstract] Bonneville shall implement Council-approvedmitigation priorities and plans at Federal projects throughthe IPP. Projects to be implemented shall take intoconsideration the standards listed under Measure 1003(b)(7).In reviewing proposals, the IPP will consider the extent towhich proposals would protect or enhance special habitat orspecies that would not be available unless prompt action istaken; such proposals should be implemented only with theconsent of the Council.ACTION ITEM ACTIVITY SUMMARY:Objectives:To identify, develop, and implement projects for priority wildlifemitigation objectives for Federal hydroelectric facilities.Background and Progress to Date:Plans:No wildlife mitigation has been implemented in the states of Oregon,Washington, or Idaho. Efforts to date have been directed towardsmitigation planning (Action Items 8.1 and 8.3).The Council is currently considering wildlife mitigation prioritiesfor Grand Coulee Dam in Washington; for Palisades, Black Canyon,Anderson Ranch, and Albeni Falls Dams in Idaho; and for theWillamette facilities in Oregon.BPA will initiate wildlife mitigation projects for Federalhydroelectric facilities in Oregon, Washington and Idaho once theCouncil establishes mitigation priorities.
