the internet, <strong>and</strong> use E-mail for college success. This course is not<br />

An advanced course designed to hone written communication skills, including<br />

editing <strong>and</strong> proofreading documents. This course will also help students develop<br />

a comm<strong>and</strong> of st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> conventions of written English. Prerequisite:<br />

BOT 151: Customer Service Skills<br />

This course will look at the characteristics of technical customer support <strong>and</strong> at<br />

soft <strong>and</strong> self-management skills needed to deliver excellent customer support.<br />

Topics include: developing strong listening <strong>and</strong> communication skills; winning<br />

telephone skills; technical writing skills for support professionals; h<strong>and</strong>ling difficult<br />

customer situations; solving <strong>and</strong> preventing problems; working as a team;<br />

minimizing stress <strong>and</strong> avoiding burnout. Class: 3 hours per week. Prerequisite:<br />
