Faculty • MCC has 333 teaching faculty. • Faculty earned degrees from over 100 institutions, including MCC. • 43 full-time faculty <strong>and</strong> staff are graduates of MCC. Degrees <strong>and</strong> • Over 21,680 degrees awarded since 1965. Certifi cates • MCC offers associate of arts <strong>and</strong> associate of science degrees in over 40 disciplines. Broad areas of study include: accounting, business, business offi ce technology, computer information systems, computer science <strong>and</strong> technology, engineering science <strong>and</strong> industrial technology, general studies, health careers, hospitality management, human services, humanities <strong>and</strong> the liberal arts <strong>and</strong> sciences. • MCC also offers programs of a shorter duration in each of the areas listed above, resulting in the awarding of a certifi cate. The certifi cate programs range from 12 to 30 credits, <strong>and</strong> some may be completed in as little as one year. • Through its Continuing Education division, MCC also awards a wide variety of credit-free certifi cates. Examples include Certifi ed Nurse-Aid, Complete Microsoft Offi ce, Emergency Medical Technician, Oracles Database Administrator, Precision Machining, Principles <strong>and</strong> Practices of Real Estate, <strong>and</strong> many more. Transfer • MCC has joint programs with both the University of Connecticut <strong>and</strong> Eastern Connecticut State University, enabling students to enjoy guaranteed admission to either university <strong>and</strong> dual academic counseling while pursuing their associate degree. • MCC graduates who earn a degree in General Studies are eligible for guaranteed admissions to the Bachelor of General Studies program at the University of Connecticut. MCC graduates from transfer programs are also guaranteed admission to the Connecticut State Universities. • MCC graduates have successfully transferred to over 100 public <strong>and</strong> private universities, both in Connecticut <strong>and</strong> throughout the country.
