Configuring <strong>HP</strong>OM<br />

Configuring Flexible Management Templates<br />

Location of Service Hours and Scheduled Outages Templates<br />

The template <strong>for</strong> service hours and scheduled outages is located in the<br />

following directory:<br />

/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/OpC/mgmt_sv/tmpl_respmgrs/outage<br />

Be<strong>for</strong>e making any changes, copy the file to the working directory:<br />

/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/OpC/mgmt_sv/work_respmgrs<br />

After the template file is ready <strong>for</strong> use, move it to the following directory:<br />

/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/OpC/mgmt_sv/respmgrs<br />

Then start a new <strong>HP</strong>OM session so the new configuration can be read<br />

and implemented.<br />

NOTE<br />

You may not change templates names. <strong>HP</strong>OM looks <strong>for</strong> specific template<br />

Table 2-13 on page 110 describes the parameters in the template used to<br />

define service hours and scheduled outages.<br />

Description<br />

If the message condition matches, and the time<br />

template condition does not match, <strong>HP</strong>OM sends<br />

messages to the Pending Messages Browser, where<br />

they remain until the unbuffer time condition is<br />

matched or until the message is unbuffered<br />

manually.<br />

Send a matching messages to the history browser.<br />

Deletes messages. Message-related actions<br />

triggered by the <strong>HP</strong> <strong>Operations</strong> management<br />

server are not started if the SUPPRESS option is<br />

defined.<br />
