Enhanced audit control sets the audit level to Administrator Audit in
the database. Once this audit mode has been enabled, the Configure
Management Server Window does not allow the HPOM
administrator to change the audit level. The enhanced audit control
mode can only be set by the user root using a command line utility.
NOTE
The lock cannot be reset without re-initializing the database using
opcdbinit -c.
1. As user root, stop the management server processes by entering:
/opt/OV/bin/OpC/opcsv -stop
2. Execute the following command:
/opt/OV/bin/OpC/opc_audit_secure -audit \
-hist
where: audit_log_dir is the directory for audit download data and
hist_log_dir is the directory fo history download data. If you do not
specify a download directory, the following default directory is used:
on HP-UX: /var/opt/OV/download/OpC/mgmt_sv
Once enhanced audit control is activated the HPOM administrator
cannot change the download path in the Database Maintenance
Window. We recommend that you configure downloading of audit and
history data to avoid filling the database
3. Start the management server processes, enter:
/opt/OV/bin/OpC/opcsv -start
