About Preconfigured Elements
If the file does not contain a valid entry for the ownership mode, HPOM
assumes the default value OPC_OWN_MODE ENFORCED.
Configuring Message Ownership Display Mode
The HPOM administrator can choose the ownership display mode to
determine the way in which message ownership is displayed. To change
the message ownership display mode:
1. Close all running GUIs and stop the HP Operations management
server processes before editing the opcsvinfo file. The configuration
is global and affects all HPOM sessions.
2. Open and edit the HP Operations management server configuration
file /opt/OV/bin/OpC/install/opcsvinfo.
3. Add one of the following options to the file:
OPC_OWN_DISPLAY STATUS_PROPAGATE
OPC_OWN_DISPLAY NO_STATUS_PROPAGATE
4. Save and close the file.
5. Restart the HP Operations management server processes for the new
configuration to be read.
6. Restart the HPOM GUI.
If the file does not contain a valid entry for the ownership mode, HPOM
assumes the default value OPC_OWN_DISPLAY NO_STATUS_PROPAGATE.
About Template Groups
The template administrator uses the Message Source Templates
window to add, modify, or delete templates and template groups.
Types of Default Template Groups
Default template groups are provided with the OS-SPI for the following
platforms: AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Sun Solaris, Tru64 UNIX, and Windows.
