About <strong>HP</strong>OM Interoperability<br />

Interoperability Between <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> <strong>UNIX</strong> and <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows<br />

When prompted by the script, enter the name of the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> <strong>UNIX</strong><br />

management server.<br />

4. To distribute the created flexible-management template to the<br />

Windows node of the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows server, use the following<br />

command line:<br />

opcragt -distrib -templates -<strong>for</strong>ce \<br />

5. Run the tool Switch management server <strong>for</strong> Windows nodes<br />

again on the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows management server.<br />

When prompted by the script, enter the name of the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong><br />

Windows management server.<br />

To Configure the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows Agent<br />

To configure the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows agent, deploy the policy Policy<br />

management\Samples\Forward to VP on the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows<br />

management server.<br />

Optional: To Change the Default Name of the WMI Policy<br />

The WMI policy used to define the messages to be <strong>for</strong>warded to <strong>HP</strong>OM<br />

<strong>for</strong> <strong>UNIX</strong> is named ForwardToVP. If you want to use some other name <strong>for</strong><br />

the policy, you must rename the policy and then indicate the new name<br />

in the Windows registry on the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows management server.<br />

To change the default name of the WMI policy, create the following<br />

registry entry:<br />

REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\OV<br />

Enterprise\Agent\OvMsgActFM] "Forward To VP Policy"=""<br />

Optional: To Change the Default Property Type of All<br />

Messages Forwarded to <strong>HP</strong>OM<br />

The WMI interceptor sets the property message type of all messages to<br />

be <strong>for</strong>warded to <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> <strong>UNIX</strong>. The default message type is<br />

ForwardToVP. If you want to use some other message type, you must<br />

change the type in the ForwardtoVP policy and create the following<br />

registry entry on the <strong>HP</strong>OM <strong>for</strong> Windows management server:<br />
