Changing Hostnames and IP Addresses in a Cluster Environment
5. Change the old name to the new fully qualified domain name
(FQDN), then click [OK].
6. In the Object Properties window, click [Set Selection
Name…].
7. Choose the new FQDN, then click [OK] in the Set
Selection Name and in the Object Properties windows.
10. Verify the templates.
Verify that the templates are still assigned to the new node.
11. Reassign and redistribute all Event Correlation templates.
If you have changed the hostname, reassign and redistribute all
Event-correlation templates assigned to the management server.
Select Actions: Server -> Install / Update Server Templates
from the menu bar of the Node Bank window.
12. Update all managed nodes with the new hostname of the
management server.
Perform the following steps on HTTPS-based managed nodes that
are configured in the Node Bank and which are running an HPOM
agent:
a. Stop all HPOM agent processes on the managed nodes, enter:
/opt/OV/bin/ovc -kill
b. Specify the new hostname of the management server in the
security name space:
/opt/OV/bin/ovconfchg -ns sec.core.auth \
-set MANAGER
c. If the certificate server is located on the same system as the
management server, the CERTIFICATE_SERVER variable must
also be updated. Enter:
/opt/OV/bin/ovconfchg -ns sec.cm.client \
-set CERTIFICATE_SERVER
d. Restart all HPOM agent processes by entering:
/opt/OV/bin/ovc -start
