Assigning Java GUI Operator Defaults<br />

To Create a New Application Group<br />

To create a new application group, follow the procedure:<br />

1. In the Motif GUI, Select Window->Application Bank from the menu<br />

bar of the Node Bank window. The Application Bank window opens.<br />

2. Select Actions-> Application: Add Application Group... from<br />

the menu bar of the Application Bank window.<br />

3. Enter the name, the label, and a description of the application group<br />

in the fields.<br />

4. Click [OK]. The new application group symbol displays in the<br />

Application Bank window.<br />

To Add Applications to Application Groups<br />

To add applications to an application group, per<strong>for</strong>m the following:<br />

1. In the Motif GUI, Select Actions->Application->Add OVO<br />

Application... in the Application Bank window.<br />

2. In the Add OVO Application window, enter the Application Name.<br />

Complete all of the fields of the window.<br />

3. If you want to enable starting applications without a graphical user<br />

interface as local applications in the Java GUI, use the following<br />

command in the Application Call field:<br />

• Windows<br />

cmd /c start <br />

• <strong>UNIX</strong><br />

dtterm -e <br />

For example, to enable starting telnet on Windows, enter the<br />

following command:<br />

cmd /c start telnet $OPC_NODES<br />

4. Click [OK]. The new application symbol displays in the Application<br />

Bank window.<br />
