Changing Hostnames and IP Addresses<br />

-newaddr <br />

New IP address of the managed node. If the node has<br />

multiple IP addresses, specify all of them separated by<br />

commas.<br />

-nnmupdate<br />

Updates NNM with the in<strong>for</strong>mation specified <strong>for</strong> the<br />

-netmask option and the Adapter/MAC address of the<br />

managed node.<br />

-netmask <br />

Specifies the network mask of the managed node.<br />

-macaddr <br />

Specifies the adapter/MAC address of the managed<br />

node in hexadecimal notation.<br />

-hook <br />

Specifies the adapter/MAC address of the managed<br />

node as returned by a callback command line tool. The<br />

command line tool will get the and<br />

as parameters. It must exit with exit<br />

status 0 and pass the MAC address by printing the<br />

string MAC=XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX to standard output.<br />

One example of such a command line tool is<br />

opcgetmacaddr.sh which can be found in the<br />

/opt/OV/contrib/OpC directory on the management<br />

server.<br />

-nnmtopofix<br />

Troubleshoots and solves problems with hostname and<br />

IP address changes. Note that this option has a high<br />

time and resource consumption.<br />
