Changing Hostnames and IP Addresses<br />

4. Change the IP address or node name of the <strong>HP</strong> <strong>Operations</strong><br />

management server in the <strong>HP</strong>OM database.<br />

Use the following command to change the IP address and node name<br />

of the <strong>HP</strong> <strong>Operations</strong> management server:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/OpC/utils/opc_node_change.pl \<br />

-oldname -oldaddr \<br />

-newname -newaddr <br />

<br />

Current fully qualified domain name of the<br />

management server.<br />

Current IP address of the management server.<br />

<br />

New fully qualified domain name of the<br />

management server.<br />

New IP address of the management server.<br />

See “opc_node_change.pl” on page 412 <strong>for</strong> more in<strong>for</strong>mation about<br />

this command line tool.<br />

5. Shut down the database.<br />

Enter the following:<br />

/sbin/init.d/ovoracle stop<br />

6. Modify the <strong>HP</strong> <strong>Operations</strong> management server configuration.<br />

Update the <strong>HP</strong> <strong>Operations</strong> management server configuration, enter<br />

the following:<br />

/opt/OV/bin/ovconfchg -ovrg server -ns opc \<br />

-set OPC_MGMT_SERVER <br />

NOTE<br />

Also update any other customized settings on the management<br />

server, such as bbc.cb.ports:PORTS.<br />
