Types of Audit Levels<br />

You can select from the following audit levels:<br />

No Audit<br />

<strong>HP</strong>OM does not maintain any auditing in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />

Operator Audit<br />

Default level after installation.<br />

Maintains audit in<strong>for</strong>mation about:<br />

• Operator logins and logouts, including attempted logins<br />

• Changes to the <strong>HP</strong>OM user passwords<br />

• All actions started from browsers and the Application Desktop<br />

Administrator Audit<br />

<strong>HP</strong>OM maintains audit in<strong>for</strong>mation about user logins and logouts,<br />

including attempted logins and changes to <strong>HP</strong>OM user passwords. In<br />

addition, <strong>HP</strong>OM creates audit entries when actions are started<br />

from the message browsers and in the Application Bank, and when<br />

the configuration of <strong>HP</strong>OM users, managed nodes, node groups, or<br />

templates changes.<br />

See Table 11-1 on page 378 <strong>for</strong> a list of audit areas of the<br />

administrator audit level.<br />

NOTE<br />

If you change an existing audit level, the new level is applied only after<br />

the operator has begun a new <strong>HP</strong>OM session.<br />
