Monitoring MIB Objects from Other Communities<br />

You can monitor MIB objects from communities other than public. To<br />

monitor these communities, per<strong>for</strong>m the following on HTTPS-based<br />

managed nodes:<br />

Use the ovconfchg command-line tool as follows:<br />

ovconfchg -ns eaagt -set SNMP_COMMUNITY <br />

In this instance, is the community <strong>for</strong> which the snmpd is<br />

configured.<br />

If SNMP_COMMUNITY is not set, the default community public is used. To<br />

find out how to determine the configuration of snmpd, see the<br />

documentation supplied with the SNMP daemon.<br />

Templates <strong>for</strong> External Interfaces<br />

By default, no notification is configured. You can configure <strong>HP</strong>OM<br />

Notification Services by using the opcnotiservice command line<br />

interface. No trouble ticket system interface is configured. You can set up<br />

one by using the opctt command line interface.<br />
