managerial staff currently employed in the banking industry who
have no formal qualifications in banking and are looking to
qualify for membership of FINSIA (previously the Australasian
Institute of Banking and Finance). The course is also available to
graduates who are either currently employed or looking to gain
employment in the banking industry and who have not completed
any specialist banking studies as a part of their degree.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
An undergraduate degree OR equivalent prior learning including
at least five years appropriate professional experience.

The Graduate Certificate of Business (Professional Accounting)
has been designed for individuals who have no accounting
qualifications and are looking for an introductory exposure to the
subject area. The course also provides an opportunity for
business/commerce graduates, who wish to enter the accounting
profession but whose previous selection of business/commerce
units does not meet the entry requirements of the accounting
professional bodies. The course provides a selection of units
which allow applicants to satisfy these entry requirements. The
units have been recognised by CPA Australia, The Institute of
Chartered Accountants in Australia and the National Institute of
Accountants as meeting the educational requirements for
membership.
