The data used to represent typical urban and rural concentrations are presented on Table 7.6a. These values were obtained from the 1996 NATA data. The data used to represent the urban and rural high-end exposure concentrations are presented on Table 7.6b. The 2003 urban value is from 2000 AirData. Because there were no rural data near the top five rural sources in 2003 AirData, the rural value is from 2000 AirData. Age-specific benzene intakes are presented below in Tables 7.7 and 7.8. In this exposure assessment, ambient exposures were calculated so as to appropriately represent the exposure frequencies and exposure times for school days and non-school days. For children, ambient outdoor exposures for school and non-school days were summed to ADDs representing a full year of exposure. For the infant and adult, it was assumed that all days are non-school days. Table 7.9 presents the total ADDs from outside ambient air exposures.
