as long as the wine tastes great!

Terry explains: “The most important part of our business - apart from being deadly serious about what’s in the bottle
and what’s in the glass - is that we are trying to have fun. Everything is very light-hearted about the way we bring Plan
B! Wines to the market. We’re trying to do it with a sense of humour and something that’s going to be memorable for
everyone who drinks our wines. The wines offer great drinking and are really great bang for buck!”
We asked Terry to talk us through his wines...
Plan B ‘DR’ Riesling 2021/22
Great Southern
Vibrant aromatics of lemon and lime blossom
with talc and minerality.
The palate is generous showing great
persistence of soft citrus and textural weight
leading to a long and structured finish and
length without undue austerity.
Grape varieties: Riesling
“There’s nowhere to hide when you’re making
Riesling. We’re trying to grow the most pristine,
brightest, cleanest fruit we possibly can, get it
into the winery as quickly as we can and press it
while it is as cool as it can be.
“The fruit comes from three vineyards in the
Great Southern region. it’s technically dry but
the wine does have a touch of residual sugar
which we retain because we do want a little
bit of weight, texture and aromatics, and a bit
more flavour.”

“This off-dry Riesling represents Plan B’s
signature style. it’s an absolute crowd pleaser!
Made with free-run juice from Great Southern
vineyards, it has a residual sugar level of 27g/l
but the natural acidity of the fruit balances it
beautifully.
We pick this Riesling a little earlier so there’s
bright acidity, which is really important. The key
to this wine is the play between natural fruit
sweetness, natural acidity and the pH”
Plan B ‘OD’ Riesling 2021/22
Great Southern
It’s a riot of semi-sweet freshness and citrusy
zing. Serious at the front but there’s a party
going on out the back. It’s an Angelic Germanic!
Fruit was picked from two vineyards in
Frankland River when exhibiting characters of
zingy, zesty acidity and fruit flavours of vibrant
lime and citrus.

Plan B ‘MW’ Modern White 2018
Margaret River
Bright and textural with lifted flowers and
stonefruit aromatics ahead of a long and
satisfying palate. Matured for nine months in
French oak.
89% Chardonnay from the Wallcliffe sub-region
of Margaret River. 11% Viognier grown in the
Geographe wine region.
Grape varieties: Chardonnay, Viognier
Plan B ‘The King’ Chardonnay 2015/16
Margaret River
Margaret River is world renowned for producing
excellent Chardonnay. This is fine, elegant and
long. Sourced from the Wallcliffe sub-region in
the cooler end of the district and bottled whilst
still fresh and lively.
100% barrel maturation, 10 months in French
barriques and battonage for 7 months.
