NEW ZEALAND - MARLBOROUGH
Mount Riley Pinot Noir 2019/20
Marlborough
Mid-red with garnet and ruby hues. Ripe cherry
and plum characters are supported by hints of
savoury spice and dried herb. Approachable
with soft tannins and intense fruit flavour. Silky
texture and great length. Great as an aperitif
or with savoury tomato or mushroom based
dishes, salmon, red meat or pasta.
Grape varieties: Pinot Noir
NZ106 - 6x75cl
Marlborough Harvest
In late 1990, a young couple left Auckland to re-settle in a rural pocket of Nelson, encouragingly
named ‘Hope’. Swapping city for country life, Andrew and Jenny took on a four- hectare property
determined to create something of their own. The vineyard had been partially established in the
mid-70s by a pioneer amateur winemaker.
From a single hectare planted in the mid-1970s, Greenhough’s home vineyards have grown to
almost nine. Prized parcels of original vines planted in 1976 remain as some of the oldest in the
region. The nearby Morison Vineyard, established in 2000, adds a further four hectares.
Greenhough Vineyards River Garden
Sauvignon Blanc 2019/22
Nelson
The wine is juicy and ripe with tangelo and
tropical passion fruit flavours balanced by
a bright line of ‘crunchy’ freshness. Classic
aromas of fragrant citrus zest and passion fruit.
This wine is elegantly balanced and instantly
appealing.
Grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc
Greenhough Vineyards Road Block
Chardonnay 2019
Nelson
Ripe aromas of tangelo, apricot and subtle
savoury, bakery notes. Citrus fruit flavours are
at the riper end moving to tropical papaya and a
fleshy, creamy succulence. A little new oak spice
and barrel-ferment richness adds complexity to
this riper fruit spectrum.
Grape varieties: Chardonnay
Greenhough Vineyards Apple Valley
Riesling 2022
Nelson
This medium-sweet, fragrant style is
reminiscent of a fresh, ripe apple delicately
scented with citrus blossom. Delicately fragrant
and succulently sweet on the mid-palate before
a fruity finish. Limited Production
Grape varieties: Riesling
Greenhough Vineyards Stone’s Throw
Pinot Noir 2017
Nelson
Dry and medium-bodied. Fragrant, spicedrawer,
orange citrus and cassis flavours. The
palate is fresh and defined with flavours of
blackberry and brambles, savoury notes and a
supple structure of well-bound tannins. Fine and
long on the finish.
Grape varieties: Pinot Noir
