Francois Moutard is one of the very few
vignerons to produce a Champagne
made up of six of the seven permissible
Champagne grape varieties*. This is
the Champagne Moutard Cuvée Six
Cépage Brut.
The six grapes used are
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir. Pinot
Meunier, Arbane, Petite
Meslier and Pinot Blanc
- the latter three are all
classed as rare varieties.

A rich aromatic richness on a nose, fruity, creamy
notes. Fantastic mouthfeel, well rounded with
long length. Beautiful balance and length. This
very rare and outstanding Cuvée is created with
equal amounts of the six grapes and vinified in
oak barrels for 9 months.

Delicate ribbon of bubbles reveals a classy
Champagne. An elegant nose which develops
to notes of brioche and orchard fruits (peach,
quince or cox apples). Good, delicate yet firm on
the palate, with notes of white peach. Serve at
12°C. This is the only Vieilles Vignes Champagne
made with Arbane! Limited Production.

In 1952, Lucien Moutard planted a plot of the
Arbane grape (10 acres). Arbane, cultivated around
Bar-sur-Seine, had nearly disappeared from the
Champagne vineyards. But François Moutard
worked to preserve this rare variety which came
from his father’s vines.
He decided to dedicate a special cuvée to it,
developed from the 1952 vines. A rare cuvée from
which he produced several thousand bottles. “This
variety was late to ripen and is difficult to work with,
but it provides an unrivalled finesse to the blend”
explains François Moutard.
This special cuvée has notes of hawthorn and
carnation, blended with aromas of Reinette apple,
wild peach and even quince.
This is an extremely rare grape: Moutard planted 10
acres of the Arbane grape in 1952 and now only two
hectares of the varietal can be found in Champagne.
Established in 1905 in Epernay, the very heart of Champagne region, Champagne Ellner, the creators of Baron
de Beaupré, is an independent family business. Its vineyards cover about 50 hectares and are spread across 15
different villages.
Since 2001, Champagne Ellner has taken an ultra-sustainable approach to its vineyards: a 50% reduction of vine
treatments products, respect of the collective producers chart of cultural practices, application of gentle and
respectful methods.
Baron de Beaupré Champagne Brut

Fresh, crisp and delicate - even racy perhaps
- with a dry palate, long lasting bubbles and a
strong finish.
This is clean and elegantly fruity with a creamy
texture. Perfect for an aperitif but will match
most starters.

Baron de Beaupré Rosé Champagne

This is a fresh, fruity and crisp rose Champagne.
Delicate rose petal colour, with a nose recalling
ripe red fruits. Fresh and fruity on the palate,
well balanced wine of character with long finish.
Perfect as an aperitif or with fresh strawberries.
