GEORGIA
One of the most distinctive
features of Georgian
wines is the use of Qvevri,
large clay vessels used for
fermentation and aging.
When it comes to wine, Georgia is a true
hidden gem. This small country in the
Caucasus region is home to one of the
oldest and most unique wine-making
traditions in the world. With a history
dating back over 8.000 years, the wines
of Georgia are not just delicious but also
steeped in culture and history
Vismino Kisi Artana 2021
Telavi
A dry white wine with aromas of grapefruit,
pineapple and tropical fruits. Then Gulabi pear,
sweet cherry and other white fruits. Hints of
cedar and pine add a pleasant freshness. Pair
with smoked fish, mixed salads, chicken with
herbs. Almost extinct in 2020, the Kisi grape is
in the early stages of a revival.
Vismino Grand Saperavi Napareuli
2020
Telavi
A dry red with a strong tannic structure
and balanced acidity. Aromatic complexity
includes pleasant oak tones that blend with
very ripe blackcurrant and cherry. Hints of
spice. Malolactic fermentation and 20months
in barrel. Perfect for red meat and game
dishes.
Tamada is one of the first iconic Georgian wine brands, recognized internationally. Over many years, Tamada has been
promoting Georgian wine and culture abroad and has acquired the status of Ambassador of Georgian wine culture in
the world.
A “tamada” is a Georgian toastmaster, a respected and intelligent person who oversees the “supra,” a traditional
Georgian feast.
Tamada Saperavi 2020
Kakheti
Mature ruby with brick hue. Black mulberry and
cherry with soft oak and vanilla overtones,
which are echoed on the mid weight palate.
The soft velvety tannin structure is well
balanced with acidity.
Saperavi wines are powerful and robust, and
are often compared to Cabernet Sauvignon.
