Parameter Description<br />

COM Port Choose your COM port (only on <strong>eWON</strong>4002)<br />

Baud Rate Speed of the PPI port. Available speeds are 9600, 19200 Bauds or disable<br />

Parity The parity to apply (None / Even /Odd)<br />

Databits Number of bits in data (7 or 8)<br />

Stop bit(s) Number of Stop bits (1 or 2)<br />

HW mode<br />

Choose the Hardware mode of communication: Half-Duplex by default<br />

or Full Duplex with/without hardware handshaking.<br />

Reply Timeout Maximum time the <strong>eWON</strong> will wait for a valid PPI message response<br />

PPI Address Device address of <strong>eWON</strong> on PPI link (0..126, default is 0)<br />

By default, <strong>eWON</strong> with Serial port will act as MonoMaster on the PPI link.<br />

5.13.2.2.1 Serial PPI MultiMaster configuration<br />

To configure the serial port as PPI MultiMaster you need to configure the following parameters.<br />

Serial Multimaster<br />

Description<br />

Parameter<br />

StatusInterleave number of token messages sent by the <strong>eWON</strong> before one status request message is sent out.<br />

Status messages are used to get the configuration of the network. In the case interleave<br />

number is high bandwith is used more efficiently for data exchange but network discovery and<br />

recovery is slow.<br />

- default value: 0 (<strong>eWON</strong> is mono master no exchange of status or token pass messages)<br />

- value range: 0..20<br />

NbrPollRetry number of retrials for one user request (poll = ask for the response after reception of a positive<br />

ack from the PLC) before aborting the request. Usefull in case of high PLC load.<br />

- default value: 15<br />

- value range: 0..100 (0 means only one poll for one request)<br />

NbrGwRetry number of retrials for one gateway request (poll = ask for the response after reception of a<br />

positive ack from the PLC) before aborting the request. Usefull in case of bus confict due to<br />

high PLC load (reception of lot of nacks).<br />

- default value: 15<br />

- value range: 0..100<br />

HSA Highest station active<br />

- default value: 31<br />

value range: 15..127<br />
