Polish Cigna now named InterRisk<br />

Since 6 February 2008, the Polish non-life insurance company TUiR Cigna STU S.A. has been<br />

operating under the new company name TU InterRisk S.A. as a new, future-oriented brand in the<br />

Polish insurance market. The Vienna Insurance Group has held a majority interest in this company<br />

since March 2006.<br />

Purchase of Ukrainska Strakhova Grupa concluded<br />

The Vienna Insurance Group has expanded its position in the Ukrainian insurance market. The<br />

Vienna Insurance Group has acquired 62% of the share capital of Ukrainska Strakhova Grupa via<br />

TBIH Financial Services Group N.V. (TBIH). The shares were acquired from companies affiliated with<br />

UkrGas<strong>Bank</strong>. Arrangements have been made for these companies to sell the remaining shares to<br />

TBIH over the next five years.<br />

Entry into the three Baltic markets finalised<br />

At the end of February 2008, the Vienna Insurance Group successfully finalised its entry into the<br />

three Baltic markets of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. After receiving official approval, the Vienna<br />

Insurance Group acquired 100% of the shares of Seesam Life Insurance SE (Seesam) from the<br />

Finnish Suomi Mutual Life Assurance Company.<br />

Establishment of a reinsurance company headquartered in Prague<br />

The Vienna Insurance Group announced the establishment of its own reinsurance company in<br />

2008. The new reinsurance company will be headquartered in Prague and have equity of<br />

EUR 100 million at its disposal. The company is expected to achieve a premium volume of about<br />

EUR 300 million in the next two to three years.<br />

Shares trading under a new business name<br />

The shares of WIENER STÄDTISCHE Versicherung AG VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP listed in<br />

the Prime Market have been trading under the new business name Vienna Insurance Group with the<br />

securities symbol VIG since 1 February 2008.<br />

Listing on the Prague Stock Exchange<br />

The shares of the Vienna Insurance Group have been listed in the Main Market of the Prague<br />

Stock Exchange since 5 February 2008.<br />
