To restrict this access, create a secret session variable that is only visible to
that web server or put the page behind access control.
If this page is accessible to the whole Internet, any one that knows the URL
to this page can get access to your ChatSpace.
Installing and Integrating for SOAP and COM
Implementation
By default, the ChatSpace Single Sign-on facility uses SOAP to communicate
between the Single Sign-on COM object and ChatSpace. If COM objects and/
or SOAP are not appropriate for your environment, refer to the Non-SOAP
section earlier in this document.
Follow these step-by-step instructions to deploy ChatSpace Single sign-on
using COM and SOAP:
1. Launch the Pass ticket Authentication SDK Setup Program.
The Welcome window is displayed for the setup program.
2. Click Next.
A product list is displayed
3. Select ChatSpace from the product list.
4. Click Next.
You are prompted to select whether to install the SDK on server or client.
5. Choose the type of installation desired:
– Select Server if you are installing the SDK on your ChatSpace server.
– Select Client if you are installing the SDK on a remote IIS server that
users ASP. This option is used of you want the IIS server to acquire
the authentication information from the ChatSpace server.
6. Click Next.
A destination prompt is displayed.
– Use Browse to select a location other than the default path.
7. Click Next.
The setup detects the IIS web sites on the server and prompts you to
select a site for the SDK installation.
The screen also displays the Virtual directory name.
8. Select the ChatSpace web site for the installation.
