General Tab Fields Server Name—the name of the server. This name does not have to be the TCP/IP hostname. Users CANNOT sign on to the server using this name. They must use the TCP/IP hostname (use /INFO command on client interface for user sign on instructions). Description—the description of this server. This description appears on the Client Alternate Welcome Message, the ChatSpace Community Directory and in some informational commands. Contact Info—the name of the person who should be contacted for information regarding this server. Contact Email—the Email address of the person who should be contacted for information regarding this server. Email Server—the hostname of the Email server used to send Emails from the lightweight membership system. This entry should be the TCP/ IP Hostname of an SMTP server, not a POP3 server. Default Room—the default channel specified when using ChatSpace’s web server to access the chat environment. 25
Product Key—the license key for this product. This key is obtained from Akiva, Corp. or an authorized reseller. Run at system startup—check this box to trigger ChatSpace to start automatically when the system starts. Advanced—click this button to display the Advanced Options dialog box. The fields for this dialog box are defined in Advanced Options Fields on page 26. Database—click this button to display the Database Properties dialog box. The fields in this dialog box are defined in Database Dialog Fields on page 27. Advanced Options Fields When you click on the Advanced button on the General tab, the Advanced Options dialog box is displayed. This dialog box allows you to enable ChatSpace’s advanced features. Large Scale Dedicated Event Mod—check this box to place the server in a special mode to run a large, live event, such as a well-attended interview with a celebrity or the CEO of the company you work for.
