Use the arrow buttons to navigate between log pages. Use the refresh button to update the log. Accessing the Audit Log from a Client To view the audit log from a browser client: 1. Click the Server Configuration button. The Server Configuration dialog is displayed. 2. Click Audit Reports. The Audit Display Settings window is displayed in a browser window. 3. Configure the audit reports: a. Check Show room entry/exits (joins/parts) if you want to view when members entered or exited a room. b. Check Show signons and signoffs if you want to view when members logged in or signed off of the ChatSpace server. c. Set the start and end dates and times for the report. Note Auditing must have been active during the date range specified. The Audit Log is displayed in a browser window. Use the arrow buttons to navigate between log pages. Use the refresh button to update the log. Viewing Activity Reports A canned report is available to provide information on the activity taking place on your chat site. These reports include peak users, average number of users and total (unique) visits to the chat site. The report allows you to specify a date range for the activity to be reported. This option is only available from the ASP interface. To access the report: 1. ,Click the Server Configuration button. The Server Configuration dialog is displayed. 2. Click Server Activity Reports. The Report Settings window is displayed in a browser window. 3. Set the Start Time and End Time for the report. 181
4. Click Generate Report. The Server Activity Log is displayed in a browser window. The Activity Report lists the name of the server and start and end date and time of the report. The report also contains four options. Click on the options to view the data: Summary lists: – Unique users—the number of members who have logged into and out of the server during the specified time period. If a member logs in and out multiple times, that member is only counted once. – Peak Simultaneous Users—the largest number of members who were logged on to the server at one time, during the specified time period. – Avg. Simultaneous Users—the average number of users logged in over the specified time period. Users Detail—lists the Nicknames of the members who logged in during the time period, along with each member’s corresponding I.P. Address and the Time that the user logged in. Rooms Details—lists the Rooms that were visited during the time period and the number of Visits the members. If the reports presented do not meet your needs, you can create your own customized report using the data in the EntryExitEvents table in the 182
