Members Tab The Members tab contains configuration settings that determine how members are handled on your chat site. Members Tab Fields Allow Guest Access—check this box to permit guest access to the Community Server. The default is checked. Allow members to change nicknames after signing on—check this box to allow members to change their nicknames. Max Number of Member-Registered Nicknames—set this field to limit the number of member-registered nicknames. Add—click this button to add a new registered nickname via the Registered Nickname dialog box. Edit—click this button to edit the selected nickname in the list, or to reset the password for it, if the member has forgotten their password, via the Registered Nickname dialog box. 53
Delete—click this button to delete the selected nickname. Show Nicknames beginning with—click the appropriate button to sort the Nickname list by the corresponding letter. Advanced—click this button to set advanced member options. See Advanced Member Settings. Registered Nickname Fields Nickname—the nickname of the user. Real Name—an optional field in which to enter the user’s real name. Email—an optional field in which to enter the Email address of the user. If the address is provided, the users on a Java client can click on the Email address from a Profile to trigger the browser to treat this as a mailto: command. URL—this optional field provides the URL for the user’s home page. If the URL is provided, users on a Java client can click on the URL from a Profile list to trigger their browser to treat this URL as a hyper-link and go to this home page. 54
