Parallel dazu wird die litauische SBA Group, Vilnius, am gleichen Standort ein Werk für furnierbeschichtete Möbel errichten, das die Swedspan Polska Sp.zo.o. of Orla, Poland, part of the Swedspan group, largely completed the mechanical installation work for the new thin-board plant by mid- April. The plant components are to be put into service in stages as from May; production of the first board is scheduled for the end of June. Regular production is to begin with capacity utilisation of around 80% as from September; Swedspan is aiming to switch to non-stop production shortly afterwards. The Polish furniture factories of Swedwood International AB of Ångelholm, Sweden, which, like Swedspan, are part of the “Industry Group” of the Ikea holding company Ingka Beheer B.V. of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and other furniture manufacturers producing for Ikea are to be supplied as from September, too, once the quality standards have been reached. These Ikea suppliers are to take delivery of roughly 75% of the MDF/HDF output from Orla in the first business year 2011/2012 (31. August). The remaining 25% are earmarked for the free market. The production capacity of the plant supplied by Dieffenbacher GmbH & Co. KG of Eppingen will be around 800 m³ per day or approximately 265,000 m³ per year. In a first step, a laminating plant and a cutting saw are to be installed in the already largely completed value-adding hall sometime in the second half-year; the start-up is scheduled for March 2012 in each case. Foil-lamination is to reach an annual capacity of 65,000 m³ or 25m m² in three-shift operation. An annual capacity of approximately 55,000 m³ is planned for the sizing unit in two-shift operation. The first large-format laminated boards are to be delivered in April 2012. Marketing of cut-sizes is scheduled to start in May 2012. Value-adding will be expanded to include drilled and folded boards parallel to this. A second finishing line is to be installed at a later date. Ikea-Produktlinie „Malm“ fertigen soll.
