We show that distinctregional populations significantly differ with regard to their temperaturerequirements and thus developmental parameters, thatmaize sowing dates have a profound influence on the developmentof the larvae, mediated by plant growth, and that varying temperatureregimes significantly influence both timing of larval hatchand overall hatching rates.
