Student-Managed Social and Recreation<br />

Facilities<br />

The Bird Nest, adjacent to Del Rey North, offers a beautiful<br />

view of Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, and the Pacific<br />

Ocean. The Bird Nest sponsors and hosts a wide variety of<br />

events for the entertainment pleasure of the student body.<br />

Hannon Loft, located in the heart of the Hannon Apartments,<br />

Tenderich Apartments, and McKay residence hall, provides<br />

the southern campus with an informal, comfortable location<br />

to host a variety of events. Hannon Loft was built in 1978<br />

and renovated in 1994.<br />

Adjacent to St. Robert’s Hall is St. Robert’s Auditorium,<br />

which plays host to hundreds of events and programs from<br />

educational conferences and panel discussions to dances,<br />

speakers, and concerts. The auditorium can accommodate<br />

up to 350 people.<br />

The School of Law<br />

Established in 1920, the School of Law is one of the<br />

oldest law schools in Southern California. The Law School<br />

campus is located in the Pico-Union district near downtown<br />

Los Angeles. Expansion of the Law School facilities began<br />

in 1980 under the direction of internationally acclaimed<br />

architect, Frank O. Gehry. The completed campus includes<br />

the William M. Rains Library, the Fritz B. Burns Academic<br />

Center, three lecture buildings, the Chapel of the Advocate,<br />

the Rev. Charles S. Casassa Building, the Albert H. Girardi<br />

Advocacy Center, and the Student Services Center.<br />
