The behavior of sound in various environments and<br />

techniques of modifying sound.<br />

Production Sound Techniques<br />

3 Semester Hours<br />

Production sound theory and practice, with actual<br />

experience in recording, producing sound, and introduction<br />

to initial post-production procedures for film and TV.<br />

Prerequisites: Concurrent enrollment in RECA 350 and<br />

352.<br />

Live Studio Recording<br />

3 Semester Hours<br />

The theory and practice of recording small ensemble<br />

groups in the studio, capturing the immediacy of a “live”<br />

performance with no overdubs.<br />

Prerequisites: RECA 350, 352, and 353.<br />

Multi-Track Studio Recording<br />

Music production and sound engineering using multi-track<br />

studio recording techniques.<br />
