Scholarships that require a separate application or process<br />

will be advertised on the Financial Aid website or by direct<br />

contact with eligible students throughout the school year.<br />

Scholarship applications will be available for download at<br />

www.lmu.edu/financialaid.<br />

ANA Scriptwriting Award*: Writing students; demonstrated<br />

TV writing ability; interest and skill in family-friendly<br />

television; must be enrolled; must serve in an internship<br />

related to family-friendly TV writing or production.<br />

Robert and Lois Atherton Scholarship*: Full-time student;<br />

engineering or business major; freshman or sophomore;<br />

renewed each year until senior year; GPA of 2.5 or better.<br />

Applicants need to write a paragraph about why they are<br />

deserving. Selection made by donor.<br />

C&C Award Scholarship*: Written endorsement by two<br />

full-time faculty members in the department and Father<br />

Michael Tang, Chairperson of the Department of Art and<br />

Art History required; future potential of student.<br />

CFA Council Scholarship*: Selection is based on talent and<br />

experience.<br />

Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship (through ICSC)*:<br />

First member of their immediate family to attend college;<br />

full-time student; at least a 3.0 GPA; must show involvement<br />

and leadership in campus and community activities; needy<br />

and deserving. Incoming freshmen, high school seniors<br />

apply on official Coke brochure. Selection is made by the<br />

Coca-Cola Corporation.<br />

Warren and Elizabeth Conrad Scholarship for the Blind:<br />

Recipient shall be declared blind or legally blind as defined<br />

by federal law; recipient shall provide written statement<br />

from certified ophthalmologist stating he/she is legally<br />

blind; graduate from high school no earlier than ten years<br />

prior to date of scholarship award. Selection made by<br />

Financial Aid.<br />

CPG Marketing Excellence Award: Junior or senior<br />

standing; minimum GPA of 3.2; business major with an<br />

emphasis in marketing; selection will be competitive per<br />

required application components. Selections made by CPG<br />

Marketing Excellence Scholarship Awards Committee.<br />

Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship*: Member must be in good<br />

standing of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity: 2.7 GPA or higher;<br />

must be working a minimum of 10 hours per week to help<br />

pay for college education; financial ability of parents not<br />

considered; must submit a 100 or more word essay on<br />

what the Fraternity has taught them. Selection made by<br />

scholarship committee and current Delta Sigma Pi Faculty<br />

Advisor.<br />

Myles P. Dempsey Scholarship*: Permanent residency<br />

out of state of California; great financial need; GPA over<br />

3.0; application essay regarding reason why needy and<br />

deserving. Selection made by donor.<br />

Edison International Scholarship (through ICSC)*: Member<br />

of under-represented ethnic group; family residence within<br />

Edison territory; U.S. citizen or permanent resident:<br />

demonstrated financial need; demonstrated academic<br />

achievement; first generation to attend college.<br />

Linkey Booth Green Scholarship: Must be enrolled in the<br />

College of Business Administration; entering freshmen<br />

must have a GPA of 3.0; sophomores, juniors, and seniors<br />

applying must have minimum 2.5 GPA; financial need not<br />

a requirement. Selection made by donor.<br />

Richard A. Hollow, Jr., Memorial Scholarship*: Merit;<br />

need; active contribution to church and community.<br />

Lina Hu Scholarship in Asian/Pacific Entrepreneurial<br />

Studies*: Student engaged in Asian/Pacific entrepreneurial<br />

study in the U.S.; preference to qualified junior, senior, and/<br />

or graduate students; women and minorities strongly urged<br />

to apply; financial need; minimum 3.0 GPA. Students must<br />

write an essay including biographical summary, need for<br />

support, long-term goals, and how entrepreneurship will<br />

assist him/her to become leader in chosen field; essays<br />

must be submitted to Dr. Robin Wang. Selection made<br />

by Asian Pacific Studies Department in conjunction with<br />

Financial Aid.<br />

ICSC Community Service Internship Corps*: Intern must<br />

successfully complete internship, be enrolled for the term<br />

following the internship, and demonstrate financial need.<br />

Selection made by participating non-profit agency.<br />

Jesuit Community Scholarship: Must have attended a<br />

Jesuit high school or a Catholic high school in California,<br />

or must be attending <strong>Loyola</strong> <strong>Marymount</strong>; financial need;<br />

academic performance, leadership, and Christian service;<br />

special consideration given to applicants whose family has<br />

or has had several children in Catholic schools. Selected by<br />

Admission and Jesuit rector during admission process.<br />

* These scholarships are usually funded annually. Funding for the following scholarships cannot be guaranteed.
