A detailed study of the laws involved with business taxation.<br />

From a management perspective, this class will focus on<br />

understanding legal interpretations of tax code and how<br />

managers apply these legal factors when planning and<br />

forecasting business development.<br />

International Business Law<br />

This course provides an excellent legal foundation for the<br />

international operation of businesses. Students will address<br />

balancing the legal interests of domestic and international<br />

This course focuses on the various legal constraints,<br />

problems, and ramifications that should be recognized and<br />

addressed by marketers during decision-making processes.<br />

This will explore the legal interaction of the marketer and<br />

the customer in the development of product, promotion,<br />

pricing, and distribution plans.<br />

MARKETING AND BUSINESS LAW / 273<br />

A practical course that focuses on the nature, formation, and<br />

application of the law in relation to sports as a business and<br />

social entity. this upper division elective will give students<br />

a solid introduction into the legal aspects of the business<br />

of sports, including contracts, torts, antitrust, agency,<br />

property, crimes, and labor law. The course examines<br />

current statutory and case law in order to help students<br />

develop managerial and decision-making skills in the areas<br />

of business, sports, and law.<br />
