This has been a look back into history that brings us to today … so, what is going on now? … who are the
people that currently hold all this together and who work to drive things forward? Here, I go back to the names I
mentioned in my introduction to this chapter; those of David Talbott, Wallace Thornhill and Dr Donald E Scott.
These are the men whose work so impressed me and started me on a road of education and amazing discovery in
early 2010. I sincerely thank all of them for the fulfilment I have experienced and the new understanding I now
have. So what have these chaps been doing? Well, the current major development and education program seems
to have really started with David (Dave) Talbott and Wallace (Wal) Thornhill getting together and comparing
notes on their complementary areas of lifetime research. From this they ended up agreeing that the links and
overlaps between their areas of research were obvious and that a much bigger story was there to be told. This
was a number of years ago, and since that time, together they have produced books, articles, videos, websites
and so many other ways of getting EU information out. They look for alliances with other forward looking
science organisations and they organise and personally attend public conferences worldwide, all to get the EU
model out to open-minded folks in astro-science and to the interested public as well. I would hazard a guess that
the breadth and depth of their combined personal efforts would be a real problem to try to quantify.
Dave Talbott [5-9a] is an American mythologist, science author and scholar
who lives and works in Beaverton, Oregon, the place of his birth. His
university education led him to a lifetime interest in education itself, and
he is responsible for establishing organisations in his home state aimed at
improving the quality of education for all and at every level. His commitment
to social improvement for fellow citizens has been courageous, effective
and is highly commendable. Dave is another who found Velikovsky’s
original work fascinating and who thereafter decided there was more to
investigate about aspects of our ancient history that indicated the possibility
of some alternative truths. The upshot is that his subsequent work has been,
to say the very least, wide-ranging, in-depth and impressively clear and
effective. From his developed point of view, Dave has written articles and
books as a modern update to what Velikovsky’s original work covered. In
doing this, he has been the catalyst for publicising the EU model and for
igniting today’s fire under the whole subject area. His modern views on
ancient history and mythology have been fuel for the personal fires of a large body of interested people; some
of whom are eminent scholars and scientists who have begun to look for themselves at these subjects from a
new perspective. It is especially significant that in terms of this breakthrough with respected people in academia
and science, and together with the existing work of the Natural Philosophy Alliance [5-9b] David (Dave) Talbott
, a new and effective
interdisciplinary movement in scientific research has been formed.
