We need to find the more worthy scientists and their work because these people are not promoted through
everyday channels, and we should also find ways to show our support for whatever aspects of their work we
come to understand and agree with. These folk are humans just like the rest of us, and where appropriate, it
would be helpful for them to know that their work is being followed with interest. Just think what an injection of
enthusiastic interest from the public would do for non-mainstream, interdisciplinary scientists and researchers
who through their independent efforts might just be on track to achieve good things for the good of all.
It would also be a good thing for the interested public to develop a long-term interest in science and where it is
headed in general. The public has been somewhat lazy and accepting in the past, and within that laziness and
acceptance can be found a contribution to why things are as they are today. What has been allowed to go on is
not right, it needs to be fixed and those members of the public who are motivated, and who can, have a part to
play in doing something about it. So this is what I am asking, when we can generate opportunities or when they
come along for us to add constructively to what is going on, and here we have been discussing astro-science,
then we need to follow up on these opportunities with a level of cautious and respectful confidence.
My big view of the universe is that, however old it may be, the fact that it functions electrically serves as no
clue whatsoever to many of the major things that have been claimed about it, things such as its age, size and
shape, whether it is getting bigger or contracting, whether multiple universes exist, or indeed that what we think
we know about it that provides a basis to assess the possibility of life existing elsewhere. We are currently in
no position to say anything for sure about any of these things, except perhaps the existence of extraterrestrial
intelligent life, but the evidence for that being true comes from other areas.
I also believe that the four fundamental forces; the weak and strong nuclear forces, electromagnetism and
gravity, will all eventually be seen as having their common root in the electromagnetic force. The range of
effect that force has, extends from the tiniest atomic to the largest cosmic limits, where electrical and magnetic
polarity alignments and associations between particles and forces with their powerful interactions are the factors
that will eventually, I venture, be found as the basis on which to explain all forms of energy and structure. The
continuity of explanations that arise from the electromagnetic force's scalability is supported by observation and
certified data, where the clarity this brings to the puzzle of how our universe works, is profound.
As has been said, the Electric Universe model is not suggested as a replacement for all that is there today.
The contribution it offers would however complement existing good science so that a better model could be
produced. The apparent ‘us versus them’ situation is therefore a red herring; any adversarial attitudes perceived
to exist are only real within the minds of those who intransigently believe they are right and whose ears cannot
hear because their mouths are so full of words (old American Indian saying). It is instead cooperation, not
confrontation, that is sought as the proper way forward. The task therefore is one of education for open minds in
the hope that changes to individual and collective points of view can serve as the doors to better science.
