As a memorable process in itself, this took a few days to get through but I eventually found myself coming
to terms with my new-found view of things. I had come to understand and accept the fundamental differences
between the gravity-based theories of the SM and the electromagnetic theories of this new Electric Universe
(EU) model. However, the very much more challenging aspect of this had been to deal with the implications
of all this being correct. Thinking about these left a deep impression because they seemed to be very broad and
fundamental for everybody.
It struck me in particular that if EU theory was indeed the way things work then it would falsify a great deal
of what we have been led to believe and are still being told in regard to how our universe works. It meant that
certain theories studied by students in schools, colleges and universities were knowingly wrong at worst and
misguidedly convincing at best. It meant too, that much of the scientific work that has gone on and still goes on,
together with the funding it has soaked up through public taxation, would have made little real contribution and
been of questionable value. I thought also about the careers of those who had dedicated their lives to scientific
research based on the gravity and relativity pillars of the SM. I could not help but think they might have wasted
their time … This sure seemed crazy stuff!
But hold on a minute, how could I as a layman in these matters have come to realise ‘the truth’ about all this?
Far better educated people seemed to be working their socks off pursuing the SM theories, the very ones whose
opinions I then found myself seriously tempted to dismiss. Was there some more obvious explanation? Had
I had a brain transplant and received a good one instead? … Had I simply flipped my lid? … Had I gone on
walkabout in a 120˚F temperature? … Had I fallen down and hit my head? … No, none of these, it was all
making real sense. It took a little more time for everything to find its place, but it did, so I buckled down to enjoy
what I then could see was going to be one exceptionally interesting ride!
In terms of my own abilities, I was confident I could find what I needed from online research, science books,
published papers and articles from respected electrical and plasma scientists and authors. I have to say that most
of the people and their work I came across do support either one or many EU theories to significant degrees
– they seem receptive to considering these and other theories. I saw this as being okay because I had previously
put in just as much work, if not more, by looking at the work of supporters of the SM side of the debate. Through
this process I was able to consolidate my thoughts enough to become convinced that my view of the two models
was an acceptable one that should be taken seriously. Criticism might well be levelled at me as a lay person
but I knew that my newly acquired understanding was backed by an impressive array of proven theory, solid
evidence and the respected opinion of some very significant people indeed. Further to this, I had also found that
‘best practice’ existing as a natural process within the halls of yesterday’s and today’s astro-science research
bodies, had not been and should not be, taken for granted as always being the case. Surprisingly, and sadly, it
seems that things have not been that way for a very long time; since the early 1900s, in fact.
