One other thing I must say about the attitude and commitment of the people I have had the pleasure of
communicating with while journeying into the basics of the Electric Universe theories. What I have found
seems to exemplify what I would expect from intelligent broad-minded researchers who have a heart-felt
understanding of what making a positive contribution is really about. The difference between what we currently
experience from the mainstream and the intellectual glow that these fine folk exude is stark; they have time
for every reasonable idea. I only need recall communications with EU supporters to remember seeing words
frequently popping up, such as: possible, achievable, potential, can, doable, might, may, feasible, perhaps, likely
and workable. These people have open minds and a can-do approach that I have faith will win every time.
There is a very important thing that I would underline as you consider what I have written … Please do try to rely
on your own judgement in these matters by not letting yourself be swayed by self-imposed confidence issues
that may quickly send you off seeking the opinion of people whom you think already have a good grasp of these
matters for they are precisely the people not to go to first. What I have invariably found is that certain people,
those who already have strong opinions on these matters, actually have a narrow viewpoint that seriously blinds
them from other possibilities. If you rush off to talk to your friend who you believe already knows a bit about
space, it is sadly almost predictable that they will say EU theories are a load of tosh, even before listening to any
amount of detail you might want to present. This is the closed-minded thinking I have been banging on about,
and I would earnestly encourage you to think this stuff out for yourself before discussing it too openly.
Claiming that something just feels right is simply not acceptable to dyed-in-the-wool scientists and mathematicians
because for most of them, a feeling cannot be measured. Here, I know they miss the very important and relevant
point that ‘intuition’ also has a part to play. To judge and maintain good direction, in addition to the rigorous
proof that can come from following the scientific method, there is also the often hard to describe element of
'informed intuition' to consider. Intuition once played a major role when science was known and practiced as
natural philosophy. Since that time the mind of the mathematician has been sadly promoted as omnipotent and
we seem to have forgotten how important informed intuition can be to the healthy development of ideas.
I take full responsibility for any mistakes you may have encountered in this book and I stand in full support of
the imperfect but nonetheless correctly aligned Electric Universe model as one of its most dedicated supporters.
I also hold my hands up to probably being short of the 100% mark with some the technical descriptions I have
documented. I would therefore appeal to those good people whose first reaction is to criticise for the sake of
their view of ‘good science’, to remember that this book is meant for the interested lay reader, especially those
who have never read anything of this nature before; it is intended only to get these folks started on their own
journey of discovery. My book is not perfect; what or who is? So, if feedback is deemed necessary, please let
it be of a constructive nature and not just an attack on what I have tried to do. I can assure everyone that I am
open to the constructive comments of those who definitely know better than me, for I am very aware that I can
improve this information that I feel so strongly should be shared.
