Given that these electrical processes hold true at all scales, we then consider them in terms of solid planets
and moons. You can imagine similar events happening to these bodies if they experience rapid changes in the
charge density that surrounds them, such as where a planet in a short-lived elongated orbit would pass through
a gradient of charge density around a star. Remember here that it has been recorded in ancient times that Venus
was seen in the sky as a comet with a tail! Thankfully, things in our own solar system now seem peaceful.
However, if this electrical balance was to be disturbed, then we could expect spectacular visual displays, and
quite possibly, some degree of geological upheaval here on Earth.
Our star, the Sun, does not operate through the action of a gravity-moderated nuclear explosion. It works instead
as a concentrated ball of electrically excited plasma, where its visible glowing surface is maintained in arc mode
by a drift of electrons flowing inward from the distant cathode region of our solar system, the heliopause, and by
positive currents flowing into its poles from the interstellar circuit of which our star is a single component. The
Sun is, in fact, an enormous fluorescent light that glows around a smaller, solid and much cooler anode core.
Stars, as concentrations of plasma with their own heliospheres, move around and interact over amounts of time
that mean little to us, for the human race has only been around for a hint of a tick of the universal clock. This is
why, in order to gain anything close to a relevant perspective on these things, it is important to understand the
scale of what is involved; such things as electromagnetic energy, amounts of matter, distance and time. Unless
we get our heads around these, we cannot even begin to appreciate the relationship we have with the cosmos.
Stars and regions of ionised dust and gas of all densities and dimensions interact electrically to provide the
wondrous phenomena to which individual identities and explanations have traditionally been assigned, none
of which are real or relevant. Black Holes, Neutron Stars, Pulsars, Dark Matter, Dark Energy and all other
inventions of today's astro-science are, I suggest, explicable by electric current flow through and between
regions of ionised matter on scales beyond our ken, and the electromagnetic forces involved in this process.
Electrical stresses grow and diminish continually. Where this occurs in the extreme with stars, they can split
apart or eject giant gas and solid planets, these then being manoeuvred to locations where an electrical balance
is achieved within their charged environment. Gas giant planets under electrical stress go through this same
process to produce the smaller solid bodies of moons that we now find so numerous in orbit around their parents.
Every electromagnetic system, such as exists in our solar system, seeks to establish and maintain balance.
The paths along which electric currents flow through ionised matter are surrounded by their self-produced
magnetic fields. These fields have direction and keep together the plasma filaments that are subsequently formed
in entwined bifilar pairs that have an overall rotational force. These Birkeland currents exist at every scale. They
are responsible for the formation and operation of all major bodies in the plasma environment of space through
their powerfully attractive, rotating electromagnetic forces and they provide the explanation for why galaxies,
stars, planets and moons all display their own natural rotation.
