... I previously mentioned the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) which our instruments indicated was<br />
evidence <strong>of</strong> a very smooth 'energy/temperature background' to the universe. Well, despite the fact that this<br />
discovery was conveniently taken to support the idea <strong>of</strong> ‘inflation’, the recent WMAP [3-7] (Wilkinson Microwave<br />
Anisotropy Probe) space mission has through its higher resolution sensors detected a significantly uneven<br />
spread <strong>of</strong> hot and cold regions across the CMB. This spread <strong>of</strong> uneven temperatures indicates that things out<br />
there are not as smooth as the experts originally thought they were. In actuality, the very existence <strong>of</strong> this more<br />
uneven temperature pr<strong>of</strong>ile contradicts the idea <strong>of</strong> inflation and other predictions derived from Einstein’s theory<br />
<strong>of</strong> relativity.<br />
… If we consider again the idea <strong>of</strong> an expanding universe with its far-away galaxies supposedly travelling further<br />
away and gaining speed all the time, then these galaxies should be dimmer than the galaxies that we know are<br />
close to us. I think this sounds reasonable. It turns out, however, that far away galaxies are <strong>of</strong> similar relative<br />
brightness to those that are close to us. An example <strong>of</strong> this is galaxy HUDF-JD2 [3-8] Again, the implication here<br />
stands in direct opposition to the idea <strong>of</strong> an expanding universe.<br />
… The galaxy M87 [3-9] (Virgo A) is seen to be ejecting material at faster than light speed. This again contradicts<br />
Einstein’s theories.<br />
… There is a cluster <strong>of</strong> galaxies 600 million light years away from us referred to as Abell 3376 [3-10] . In 2006, this<br />
cluster was observed to be surrounded by a 6 million light year in diameter ring structure <strong>of</strong> glowing material,<br />
the temperature <strong>of</strong> which was measured to be in the region <strong>of</strong> 60 million degrees Kelvin. This is many tens<br />
<strong>of</strong> times hotter than the hottest area associated with our Sun. Again, there is not a snowball’s chance that the<br />
‘mechanical shock’ theory <strong>of</strong> the gravity model could ever explain this extreme level <strong>of</strong> temperature generation.<br />
It is also interesting to note that NASA pages on the web do not refer to or even hint at this issue. Once again,<br />
the gravity model and its proponents fall short in their ability to address what we see in the real world.<br />
… There is an Australian physicist by the name <strong>of</strong> Stephen Crothers [3-11] . I mention him because he has put<br />
forward what seems to be pro<strong>of</strong> for many scientists that Einstein’s equations that led to the subsequent invention<br />
<strong>of</strong> Black Holes, are fundamentally wrong - the interpretation <strong>of</strong> the mathematics appears to be wrong, believe it<br />
or not! In addition to this being a challenge for many to accept, it should be kept in mind that Einstein himself<br />
became an objector to the Black Hole theory. You should also keep in mind that it was the use by others <strong>of</strong><br />
Einstein’s equations that established the theory <strong>of</strong> Black Holes. Despite all this, his name remains firmly linked<br />
with the idea that they are real. It is odd that nothing is ever done to clarify any <strong>of</strong> this. I wonder, therefore,<br />
if conveniently doing nothing supplies ongoing credibility to the idea <strong>of</strong> Black Holes. For anyone looking for<br />
more detail on Black Holes, I would refer them to the work <strong>of</strong> retired Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Physics and Mathematics<br />
