C u s t o m e r Service Repre s e n t a t i v e . Handles customer questions and orders and<br />
solves customer problems.<br />
Director of Marketing. Plans and implements the design, promotion, pricing,<br />
and distribution of a company’s products and services.<br />
E-Commerce Coordinator. Assists managers in adding Web marketing to<br />
their firm’s distribution strategy. Determines what marketing processes can<br />
be digitized and how to implement e-commerce strategies.<br />
Industrial Sales Repre s e n t a t i v e .Calls on businesses such as retailers, wholesalers,<br />
and government agencies that are qualified prospects for manufactured goods.<br />
Marketing Coordinator. Assists marketing department with the planning and<br />
implementation of marketing strategies.<br />
Small Business Owner/Manager. Manages all phases of the operation including<br />
buying, inventory management, merchandising, personnel and security.<br />
After successfully completing the E-Commerce/Marketing program, the graduate<br />
will:<br />
I . Understand the basic principles of e-commerce/marketing and apply them<br />
I I . Integrate E-commerce/marketing with other disciplines in business<br />
I I I . Identify problems and use appropriate techniques to find solutions<br />
I V. Work independently and function on a team<br />
V. Demonstrate basic math, verbal and written communications and computer<br />
s k i l l s<br />
V I . Qualify for entry-level positions in the e-commerce/marketing field<br />

E-Commerce/Marketing—Courses and Course Sequence<br />
Special Note: All Business and Computer Technology students who do not type 28<br />
words per minute with five or fewer errors must enroll in OST11 0 0 .<br />
This sequence can be followed by students who begin college-level work in the fall<br />
s e m e s t e r. Prerequisites may apply to specific courses; it is the student’s responsibility<br />
to determine if prerequisites have been met. An academic advisor is provided for each<br />
student. Prior to registering each semester, the student is expected to consult with<br />
