COST ACCOUNTING (INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATE)<br />

The Cost Accounting certificate program is designed to prepare students for an<br />

accounting position in a manufacturing company or to enhance skills for their current<br />

jobs. The foundation includes basic accounting principles. Advanced cost accounting<br />

concepts are then introduced to help students understand the procedures used to account<br />

for manufacturing costs. Students will also improve their computer skills in the Excel<br />

c o u r s e . Courses in each level (Foundation, Core, Advanced Track) must be<br />

completed priorto advancing to the next level. W h e re more than one course is<br />

o ff e red within a level, courses may be taken in any sequence.<br />
