REAL ESTATE (INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATE)<br />
The real estate industry places great emphasis on education and professionalism. T h e<br />
Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TRC), through legislation, requires a prelicensing<br />
course and continuing education for practitioners. The certificate program in real estate<br />
is an effort to provide high-quality technical training for residents of Knoxville and surrounding<br />
counties. Candidates applying to TRC to take the A ffiliate Broker Licensing<br />
Exam must complete a 60-hour course in basic principles of real estate. The broker’s<br />
exam requires 120 hours overall. Thirty hours must include Real Estate Off i c e<br />
