C.1.2. PROPOSED ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTIVE MEASURES DURING
THE PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION
C.1.2.1. EXCESSIVE NOISE PROTECTIVE MEASURES IN THE EVENT OF
SITE OPENING AND CONSTRUCTION PURSUANT TO THE NOISE
PROTECTION ACT (OG No. 17/1990.)
This act regulates noise protection requirements for the INTERVETNION
IMPACT AREA in the event of site opening, construction and
exploitation of the PROJECT.
The above mentioned act governs the contractor liability on the
CONSTRUCTION SITE to PROVIDE FOR AND IMPLEMENT noise
expansion protective measures, exceeding the permissible levels, and to
monitor the implementation of the measures within the framework of site
development plan.
In accordance with this act, construction works shall be executed on everyday
basis, in the period from 6 to 23 o’clock.
For construction works, which have to be executed incessantly by day and
night (as well as on holidays) due to the nature of their technological
procedure, the opinion and approval by the competent inspection service shall
be filed for.
Contractor must comply with the general noise protective measures for the
intervention location off the site. The general environmental noise protective
measures off the site imply the following:
• ESTABLISHING CRITERIA TO BE MET BY THE CONTRACTOR
DURING CONSTRUCTION (limits for emitted sound force allowed for the
constructor’s equipment).
• CONTRACTOR’S LIABILITY TO COMPILE THE SITE DEVELOPMENT
PLAN, AS WELL AS THE WORK PLAN INCLUDING A PRECISE COST
ESTIMATE AND WORK, MATERIAL, PROCEDURES AND
RESTRICTIONS SPECIFICATIONS, WHICH SHALL ENSURE IN A
CLEAR AND COMPREHENSIVE MANNER THE CONSTRUCTOR’S
MAKING OF A UNAMBIGUOUS AND CLEAR OFFER WITH ACCEPTED
LIABILITIES.
• SUPERVISION DURING WORK EXECUTION (not only technical
supervision, but also occasional or constant monitoring by inspection
services or companies authorized for noise measurement).
C.1.2.2. AIR POLLUTION PROTECTIVE MEASURES
Due to the assessment that the vehicles transporting the dredged material
shall produce a considerable quantity of dust during dry period, which shall
cause air pollution (during dry period and strong winds in particular), transport
vehicles should be under constant supervision. In case of transportation of an
extremely dry, powdery material, the material shall be sprinkled with water
before transportation.
