6. Morale Fund Financial Statement (CG-2985)<br />
a. Refer to exhibit (6G).<br />
b. This form provi;;s 2 snapshot surrrmary of the financial status of the<br />
Morale Fund. It is divieed into five areas as follows: Net Worth,<br />
Assets and Liabilities, Loan Account Summary, Reconciliation of Checking<br />
Account, and Certifications. Many of the figures entered on the CG-2985<br />
are brought directly from the CG-29854 and the CG-4518.<br />
C. Following is a line by line description of the items on the CG-2985:<br />
(1) Net Worth.<br />
(a) Item 1, Net Worth Brought Forward - same as line 9, previous<br />
reporr.<br />
(b) ,‘t em 2, CGES Funding - this is funding received during the<br />
quarter direct from your local NAF activity or funding provided<br />
via the coqnizant authority (i.e. District, MLC). See column 2,<br />
CG-4617. -<br />

Item 3, Net Profit !l'&R Activities - carried from line A-13 of the<br />
CG-2985A. (If a net loss, figures should appear in parenthesis.)<br />
Item 3, Other Receipts - include such items as donations,<br />
receipts from Christmas Party, and ticket sales (if not an<br />
"ongoing activity').<br />
Item 5, Total Income For Period - self explanatory; add items 2,<br />
3, and 4.<br />
Item 6, Morale Expenditures - all purchases or expenditures not<br />
included on the CS-2385A as part of an ongoing activity. These<br />
are usually one-time type expenses and also includes major "out<br />
of the ordinary" expenses of the ongoing activities. Refer to<br />
exhibits (6Cj and (60) for examples of these expenses.<br />
(g) Item 7, Losses and Transfers - included is a loss of any asset<br />
in items I3 thru I4 (i.e., losses of cash, write off of loan,<br />
spoilage of resale inventory). Any significant loss should be<br />
addressed in the cover letter. Any transfers of funds or<br />
inventory to another unit/<strong>morale</strong> fund should also be included in<br />
this item.<br />
(h) Item 3, Total Expenditures - self explanatory, items 6 and 7.<br />
(i) Item 9, Net Worth - self explanatory (item 1 plus 5, less 8).
