10-B-5. Coin-Operated Recreation Devices or Equipment.<br />
C. Dimosal.<br />
Coin-operated <strong>recreation</strong> devices or equipment, such as<br />
pool tables, shuffle boards, video games, etc., that are<br />
basically <strong>recreation</strong>al and are located at a MWR activity<br />
shall be operated by MWR and the proceeds deposited in<br />
the unit's <strong>morale</strong> fund. However, it is important that<br />
the commanding officer consider possible-complications<br />
before authorizing more than one activity to operate or<br />
contract for vending machines. Price competition,<br />
concessionaire supervision and control, and customer<br />
confusion can cause difficulty. Operation of this type<br />
equipment must be in strict conformance with enclosure<br />
(37) to the Comptroller Manual, Volume VII, Non-<br />
appropriated Fund Activities Manual (COMDTINST M7010.5<br />
(series)).<br />
Excess and unserviceable MWR property whether purchased with<br />
appropriated or non-appropriated funds, will be disposed of<br />
in accordance with Comptroller Manual, Supply/Property and<br />
Transportation, Volume III (COMDTINST M4400.13 (series)).<br />

MWR VehicA. A vehicle purchased with <strong>morale</strong> funds<br />
or obtained from surplus sources with all maintenance<br />
and operating costs funded with <strong>morale</strong> funds. No<br />
appropriated funds may be expended in the acquisition<br />
and maintenance of MWR passenger motor vehicles.<br />
Official MWR Business. Travel and transportation for<br />
authorized MWR purposes.<br />
Trailer. A vehicle suitable for use in conjunction<br />
with automobiles.<br />

Snecial Purpose Vehicles. Are vehicles used in MWR<br />
which have been modified for specific uses that would<br />
prohibit them from being utilized for any other<br />

Recreational Motorboats. Motorboats are not included<br />
in the definition of MWR vehicles; however, those<br />
meeting the criteria requirements for registration as<br />
contained in Federal and/or State boating statutes<br />
are insured as a motor vehicle as described in<br />
chapter 12.<br />
