except for a few, imported by Europeans or Chinese.<br />

jurtulis lamo, the first clerk of the Sultan, usually called Secretary.<br />

jurtulis malayu, native clerk in the Residency office. See further under ngofangare.<br />

juru-mudi, helmsman (from Malay).<br />
