ma, prefix which indicates a possession, e.g. kie ma-dudu, kamar ma-daha. Placed before verbs<br />
it has the same meaning as the Malay ber, e.g. ma-dero, from dero; malomu from lomu, etc.<br />
maabad, unclean, prohibited (from Arabic). Explained to me as a word from the Koran with the<br />
same meaning as haram (taboo).<br />
