tifah, drum or tambourine of native-make, manufactured from seho- or ligua- wood in the form<br />
of a hollowed-out cylinder, the top brace with snake- or deerskin, to which a few pieces of<br />
hardened gum are stuck. One beats on it with the right hand with a piece of wood and by<br />
holding the skin with the left hand, the sound can be muted.<br />
