Sports Development Sports Development The company has always supported its people in their endeavours on the sports
field. The Socce and Athletics Team is a proud part of Foskor’s history and each year

Foskor Open Pit Race Sports Development The open pit race starts at the open pit mine and is a 21 km race, the annual
sponsorship for which is R100,000.

Foskor built a community centre in Namakgale 20 years ago. Foskor has undertaken
the restoration of the centre in partnership with local government and business. 260,000.00
Media Centre Educational Support This facility is a resource centre for local schools, operating in the Foskor Community
Centre in Namakgale. It provides administrative back-up for 55 local schools. Foskor
provides the venue, pays for the rental of the equipment and employs a temporary
worker to manage the facility – a cost of about R240,000 a year. 240,000.00
Museum This is located in the very first house that was built in Phalaborwa. It is a record of a
town that grew up around its unique mineral wealth and presents a live history of a
mining town. The intention is to continue expanding the appeal of the museum, by 220,000.00
